Her story: Since 2006 Jolene has been off and on working on farms but they only offer seasonal contracts.  Besides her own boy who was born in 2011 she has not worked with children before but was very friendly with my toddler. Although fruit processing was her main task at the farms she had no problems cleaning the rooms we gave her and did a good job with the ironing.  Her parents spoke Afrikaans to her and she learned English in school but her Xhosa is more than like she says a little bit. Jolene is definitely now looking for fulltime domestic work where she is not limited to work certain seasons only.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Jolene is always on time, follows instructions well and gets along well with the other women. She is a fast learner who is almost never sick.

Her story: Constance worked for a family 3 days/week for 3 years until they moved. She cleaned and ironed but also sometimes played with the two children aged 6 and 12 years old. The family gave Constance a reference letter and we called them to confirm the reference. Constance currently works for a family for 2 days a week but says if we can't fill her week she is happy to work full time for one family. We do have a copy of her certificate.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Constance worked for us for 3 years 3 days/week until we moved to Durban. She is absolutely amazing and we loved her to bits. Her main duties were to keep the house clean and do the ironing. Sometimes I needed her in the afternoon to play with my children who liked her as well. She is an amazing type of person and would still be working for us if we would not have moved too far away. She was able to declutter my children's mess in no time and made our home comfortable for us. She can cook and knows how to work with delicate fabrics when she does your washing. She was capable to do shopping lists and is extremely honest with everything.

Our observation: Constance is shy at first. In her free time she plays with her own two children, likes to cook, liesten to music and play volleyball. She likes to work in her garden and goes to church on Sundays.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 2 years and 5 years

Her story: Martha worked as a sleep in domestic in Zimbabwe for two years. She then decided to move to South Africa. The family had three children aged 8, 5 and 2 years. While the 8 year old was in school Martha took care of the two younger children. I called that employer in Zimbabwe for a testimonial.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Martha is a great worker. She took care of our two younger children and also kept the house clean and took care of our laundry. She was a natural with the children and they loved her. Martha decided to move to South Africa and that is the only reason why she no longer works for us. We really miss her and wish her the best in South Africa.

My observation: Martha likes to read and loves a clean house. She is passionate about children, patient and friendly. If she does something wrong she wants to be told straight away so she can do it better next time.

Name: 4.) Elisabeth Salman - cleaning lady

Nationality: South African

Born: in 1968

Which days available?

Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun

Stay in/out: out

Lives: in Khayelitsha

Language(s): English, Xhosa

Driver’s licence: No

Smoker: No

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? No

Her story: Elisabeth currently works every Thursday and every Saturday. She is looking for full time work, preferably Monday to Friday so she could keep her Saturday work.  She is a widow and her children are grown ups.  For her one employer she has been working for 2, for the other one for 4 years.  We called both for a testimonial. If someone takes the time to teach her how to cook she is keen on cooking for her new family.  On weekends she likes to go to church and keep her own house neat.

References: Yes, two

What the reference said: Elisabeth’s English is good.  She thinks for herself and you only tell her once what you want her to do.  She is fantastic and very reliable and easily picks up what needs to be done.  She will go out of her way to do something extra for you. We know her children as well and they are all brought up well.  Elisabeth is old school, insists on cleaning the kitchen floor on her knees. She is a great woman, one of a kind and I am so glad to have found her. She is also great with visiting children and one can certainly recommend her as a nanny as well.

Our observation: What I like most about Elisabeth besides her friendly nature is that she is already working for a long time for the same people. That shows she is interrested in a long term relationship with her employer. She describes herself as hard working and honest.

EMPLOYED

Name: 5.) Nolita Kula - cleaner or nanny for newborns

Nationality: South African

Born: In 1985

Which days available?

Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun

or fulltime

Stay in/out: out

Lives: in Kayelitsha

Language(s): English, Xhosa

Driver’s license: No

Smoker: No

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 3 months, 5 years, 8 years

Her story: Nolita has two children of her own, they are born 2008 and 2010.  Her husband who lives with her has fulltime work.  Originally from the Eastern Cape they moved here in 2009 and she first worked in her township’s orphanage home.  But they only called her when she was needed and in 2010 she started to work fulltime for the family I called for a reference.  When she started to work for them their three children were 3 months, 5 years and 8 years old and Nolita took care of the youngest one and the house.  She often cooked lunch for the children and sometimes for the whole family.  Up till today she works for that family but they can now only afford her 3x a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).  They even told her if she finds a new fulltime job she is free to go since they fully understand that she needs the income.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Nolita is extraordinary with our children and raised our 3 year old girl; she is like a mother to her. She arrives and leaves with a smile, is never moody, always thankful and thinks for herself.  Nolita cooked food for my children and sometimes the entire family, is respectful and made the decision to only have two children of her own but to give them the best education possible. She is punctual, extremely trustworthy, respectful, neat and presentable. We would like to keep her Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays but can no longer afford her fulltime.  If she however finds another fulltime job we will support her since she is absolutely marvelous. Since our 3 year old girl will soon go to crèche there are other children out there who deserve to be raised by her.

Our observation: Nolita immediately felt at home with us.  She talks easily and is a sure extrovert. She is very intelligent and possesses both a first aid and CPR training (for Infants and older children) and an Au Pair training course.  Both courses she attended in the Scalabrini Centre in Cape Town and I have copies of the certificates.  Both courses have cost Nolita R1200 which she paid herself.  One of her questions during our training session was if it would be an insult to an employer if she would buy herself a window cleaner in order to clean big window areas faster.  She works independently and can think for herself.  I think she would even be able to be a team leader.

His story: Andrew came to South Africa in January 2013.  In February he painted for a private home for a week.  Then the job was done and he looked again for work (the painting job he found while standing at the traffic lights and advertising his services). So in August 2013 he helped out for one week as a gardener since the family’s gardener was on holiday for a week.  That family I called for a reference.  Andrew and his sister grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe and she came to South Africa three years earlier.  She has been working for the same family ever since.  His wife has a fulltime job as a cleaning woman and their children are 2 and 4 years old.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Andrew was the week he worked for us when our garden boy was on leave always on time, he came even in bad weather conditions and after only two days we left him alone while the house was open. He is a friendly guy who is hard working and I keep his number for when my gardeners is off again.

Our observation: Andrew is very still. He did not always immediately understand what I wanted from him but whatever we showed him he could do.  He was a keen learner and is strong, young and healthy.

Name: 7.) Sylvia Makumbe - cleaner or nanny for babies from

                                             the age of 6 months

Stay in/out: in or out

Lives: in the Strand

Language(s): English, Shona, Tswane

Driver’s license: No

Smoker: No

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 6 months old

Her story: Sylvia came to the Western Cape in 2011 where she started her first stay in job in Bellville.  She mostly cleaned the house since the youngest child was already 9 years old.  They paid her R1500 a month and because it was quite little she started another stay in job in Feb 2012 in Belhar.  Here she was promised R2100/month but when it came to paying time there was always a story and less money then what they had agreed on.  One month they paid her R100 for the entire month! That was when she decided to leave in March 2013.  She is now looking for work where she will be paid in time since she has to support her three children who live in Zimbabwe. They were born in 1991, 1996 and 1997.  Sylvia’s husband works fulltime.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Still try to make contact

Our observation: Sylvia said she regrets that she has quit her first work.  Although she only got R1500 a month the food was enough (compared to her second work where she was always hungry) and they paid her in time. The second family really treated her badly but she only quit her work there when her husband told her that the treatment is unacceptable.  I don’t want to go in detail here but agree that she had to quit.  The fact that she made it there a year shows me that she will make it anywhere where she is paid up to standard in time.

They reduced her days and now she is still looking for the days above. I called the family for a testimonial.  Sylvia stays with her two children and husband who works full time.

References: yes, one

What the reference said: Sylvia is hard working, reliable, pleasant and clean.  In the beginning you need to tell her how you want things done and then she will do them for you.  When it comes to child care she is responsible and whenever she could not come to work which was not often in the past 4 years, she lets you knowOur boy is so attached to her that last year on Christmas, when she had her annual leave we had to call her so he could speak to her!

Our observation: Sylvia’s English is good.  She is calm and patient and describes herself as a good child minder and cleaner who only asks questions when necessary.

In 2013 she worked four days a week in a crèche with children from 1 to 6 years but mainly her studies focused on children between 3 and 5 years.  One day a week she went to the college.  Naomi has a driver’s license that is valid until 2017.  I called both the crèche and the library for a testimonial.  Naomi has been driving regularly since 2006 so she is a very experienced driver.

Her story: Honjiswa has three own children; they are born in 1997, 2004 and 2008.  From 2002 – 2009 she was cleaning for 7 years fulltime for the same people but they moved.  2011-2012 she cleaned for a family and raised their 1,5 year old child.  They had to let her go because of financial problems.  And from January 2013 until August 2013 she raised a child for a lady (from 5 months of age to 1 year old) while she cleaned the house.  The couple got divorced and they also could no longer afford her.  So now she is looking for new domestic work again, preferabley one that includes children since they are her passion.  At the moment she works Tuesdays so she is available at the above days but would take on a new fulltime work to have a higher income.

She has provided loyal service in housekeeping for my family.  She is hard working and competent.  I have trusted her with the keys to my home and the care of my children for 7 years.  I have no hesitation in referring her to prospective employers.  She is a fantastic nanny and extremely trustworthy.  She has grown much attached to my son.  Her duties have included bathing, changing nappies, playing with, reading to and looking after him when he was sick (he was 5months old when she started to work for us).  She has also been fantastic with our 6 cats and 2 dogs, cleaning litter boxes and feeding the animals diligently.  She ran my house like a well oiled machine, the washing was always up to date, the house always neat and tidy and my son was always well cared for.  She used initiative and will find things to do.  She is a good cook and follows instructions carefully.

Our observation: Honjiswa was dressed neatly and is a mature cleaner.  One can see that she just loves children.  She always had to use her own initiative and find her own way how to clean a house effectively.  She says about herself that if she does not work 5 days a week for someone and fulltime childcare is included a smaller ( 2 bedroom ) house will be easier for her to cope with.

Her story: Lizzy came to South Africa in 2008.  She worked as a security officer in both Zimbabwe and South Africa (in South Africa from 2008 to 2009).  I called the South African Security Service for a testimonial.  Then Lizzy did a home management and a baby and toddler development and stimulation course (of which I have copies of) and opened her own crèche in her township for children from 0 to 36 months of age.  Then her father became sick and passed away.  She had to go to Zimbabwe for a while and when she came back all the children she had looked after had found other crèches. She describes herself as “always happy and almost never sick”.  She also says she is a hard worker who can work overtime and under pressure.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Lizzy is an excellent and hard worker.  She had to do the night shifts which are especially tough.  She was never sick, is reliable and got along well with the other team members on the site.  When her contract was expired with us she talked about opening her own crèche and do attend children related courses.

Our observation: Lizzy’s command of English is good.  Her two grown up children and three grandchildren still stay in Zimbabwe, her one daughter is studying medicine.  Lizzy struck me as a self confident mature cleaner who did all the cleaning tasks to our full satisfaction and also immediately made contact with my toddler.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 2,5 years old

Her story: Mary is a Christian who worked for a family as a nanny and cleaning lady. She was alone at home with a 2,5 year old child while both parents worked and is now looking for a new challenge again. We have copies of her certificates.

References: Yes, two

What the reference said: In 2015 Mary worked for us for about 8 months. She was alone at home with our 2,5 year old child. Both me and my husband were working. Her English is excellent and she didn't only play with my toddler but also did stimulation and development games. I could go to work with a good feeling that my child was taken care of. Mary was also honest and punctual and our toddler really liked her. Mary worked for us a few months until we moved to Joburg. She worked for us 2 days a week, cleaned the house and ironed. She was very honest and we were sad that we couldn't keep her and that she preferred to stay in the Western Cape. I am a stay at home mom and I could see what she was doing and she very quickly worked unsupervised. I can definitely recommend her.

Our observation: Mary is an introvert who describes herself as a hard worker. Her only child was born in 2007 and stays in Zimbabwe so Mary can also sleep in. Mary likes to read and says she doesn't only look for a job but a family she can become part of.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 6 months old

Her story: In Zimbabwe Priscillar worked as a sleep in nanny for 5 years until they could no longer afford her. The family had 4 children and she cleaned, took care of the laundry and looked in the mornings after the youngest child. In the afternoons she played with all four children. When she started to work for the family the youngest child was 6 months old. I called them for a testimonial. In 2015 One Stop Domestic found Priscillar temporary work as a stand in domestic for a month. She worked in a family with 3 children aged 8 months to 10 years. One child was hyperactive and Priscillar assisted the mother full time with both household and children. We also called her for a testimonial. Priscillar's two children stay with her mother in Zimbabwe so Priscillar can again be a sleep in or char domestic.

We have 4 children and when she started to work for us the youngest one was 6 months old. She was a great addition to our family, a responsible housekeeper and nanny who was patient with the children and I would recommend her to anyone. Priscillar worked for me for one month and we just got along great. I was at home with my 3 children and she assisted me with both the house chores and children. My one boy is hyperactive and very difficult and she handled him great. Her attitude is respectful and she is fun to have around. In the month she worked for me she has never let me down with anything and I can highly recommend her.

Our observation: Priscilla was friendly and calm.  She made immediately contact with my toddler and strikes me as good with children. She likes to cook but needs to be taught how you would like to have your cooking done. Priscilla describes herself as very patient and calm and weekends she likes to read and go to church.

Her storyFor 2,5 years, Susan worked full time for a family with a newborn and a 4 year old child. She was involved with the children as well as running the household. The family moved overseas. We let her do a first aid course for children and infants and she was a great worker. She moved to the Western Cape in order to try and work for a family and get a higher income. We will any time take her back should she decide to come back. She was great with children of all ages and that's what she did for 8 hours a day. She is one of the women who is very passionate about children and you can see it in her work.

Our observation: Tumie is calm and friendly.  She likes children and on the weekends goes for a walk and to church. She immediately started to play with my toddler out of her own and says she would love to work for a family where childcare is involved.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? No

Her story: Connie worked for the same family for 9 years until the two children went to play school and they could no longer afford her. For 6 months Connie looked after an elderly lady who then had a stroke and went to an old age home. We phoned her for a testimonial Connie has found work in the meantime and is now still looking for the above day(s).

References: Yes, two

What the reference said: Connie has been working for us for 3 months now. She is lovely and so much better than my last cleaning lady. She cleans and irons and gives the house a thorough clean. I am very fussy and want everything to be spotless and I am full of praise for her. We are totally happy with Connie and will understand if she finds full time work. If we could afford her we'd take her full time but we unfortunately can't. Connie comes in and carries on with her work at her own speed and sees what can be done next. She is all we need in a cleaning lady, absolutely reliable, punctual and honest. Connie worked for me for about 6 months. She kept me company and cleaned my flat and did my laundry until I had a stroke and gave up my flat. I was very happy with her services and one great thing about her was that she was always on time, every single day in the 6 months and that she really likes elderly people, I could feel it.

Our observation: Connie says she likes to go with her children to church on weekends. She also likes to play with her children. She will organize someone to look after her children, her youngest one was born in 2005, should she find sleep in work and is willing to work Saturdays as well. Connie says she likes to work with people and also likes elderly people.

The children grew very attached to her but when they went to creche there was no more work for Patricia who is looking for a new challenge again. Patricia has done an Early child development course of 5 half days. There she learned about hygiene, baby massage, to make toys out of waste and make play dough. She therefore is looking for another job.

She first entertained children in the playroom of a restaurant.  Then she found a better paid job for a private household but when it came to “payday” the employer always had another story why she could only pay less than the amount they agreed on.  In 2012 she started working as a cleaner for a guest house in Somerset West.  There she made a lot of money during summer, mostly because of the tips the guests left.  But winter 2013 came and the guest house owners told her they only need her one day a week now since it is off season and if she finds another fulltime job she must go for it.  Since May 2013 she is working with a family who again underpays her.  So for R150 a day she is prepared to take on a new job.  She has two daughters (born in 2008 and 2011) and a husband who works fulltime at a restaurant.

References: Yes, two

What the references said and our observationLoreta is always on time, honest and reliable. She is very polite, neat and presentable.  Our children love her and she is very good with our little one.  Loreta started to look after him when he was 15 months old.  I am sure she can handle younger children as well.  Her cleaning and ironing are also up to standard. She is a clever, quiet worker who asks only really necessary questions.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 6 months

Her story:  Eunice is a Christian who worked for a butchery in Sir Lowry's Pass for 6 years until the butchery was closed down.  I called her former employer for a testimonial. Eunice currently works as a volunteer in Sir Lowry's Pass with disabled children and adults.  She started there in 2013 but since the work is not paid Eunice is now looking for domestic work. There is a lady who calls her every now and then to come clean her house and iron but it is not often enough.  Eunice has one grown up child and 2 grandchildren and could be a sleep in domestic if her elderly parents would not live next door to her. She says she could any time do char work during the day but in the mornings very early and in the evenings she needs to have a look at her parents.

References: Yes, three

What the reference saidWe know Eunice now for a long long time.  She worked for our butchery before we had to close it down.  She is absolutely honest and hard working. She is also presentable and was great with the customers as well as with keeping the place clean.  Eunice has been working for our home of disabled children and adults for 2 years now and we can any time call her and she comes.  She never ever lets us down. If we are stuck with a problem it is very often Eunice who has a great idea what could help us. She is 100% honest and reliable and deserves a paid job. I have been knowing Eunice now for many years. She is a reliable and very hard working woman. I let her work completely unsupervised and she works at a good speed.  I hope for her that she will find a nice family soon as the few days I need her in a month can't earn her a living.

Our observation:  Eunice describes herself as a Jack of all traits and we believe that is exactly the right description.  Having worked as a domestic, in a butchery and in a home for disabled people she is an all rounder with various experiences.  All her (former) employers like her a lot. She helped to raise her grandchildren and feels very confident with babies.  In her free time she goes to church and listens to music.

She came to South Africa in 2009 and children are her passion. Her own children were born in 2005 and 2010 and her husband works full time. She is punctual, an extrovert and fun to be aroundGeti took care of my one month old child fulltime for 3 years, even when he was sick she managed very well. She certainly is one of a kind! Geti worked for us for a year. Our house is huge. She was always friendly with us and the two children and we think looking after children she is naturally good with. I would highly recomend her to a family with small children but also as a cleaner.

Our observation: Geti has been with us for over a year.  She was there every day, was not one day sick and is punctual and honest. She truly loves children and is a fast cleaner.  She is very responsible, uses her head, works independently and I would recommend her to any family. We needed a sleep in nanny and Geti can't do sleep in, that is the only reason why we had to let her go.

What the reference said: Marie slept in with us for three years until my husband lost his job and we could no longer afford her.  She woke up every morning by herself at 6 o’clock and then woke my daughter, made her porridge, combed her hair and got her ready for playschool.  Marie is very intelligent.  Our youngest child was 1, 5 years old when she started to work for us while the other two were 5 and 7 years old.  She was always nice with the children and kept them busy and she was good in the house as well. We moved and our new house didn’t have sleep in facility but I can recommend her to anyone. We got Marie through One - Stop - Domestic and she has been working for us for more than a year. She is like a mother to my children. But they now go to school and we can no longer afford her. She will be a great addition to any family. Her language skills in Afrikaans, English and Xhosa are great.

Our observation: Marie was very friendly, is outgoing and laughed a lot.  She says she likes a clean house and that her washing always be updated.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 4 months

Her story: Beauty worked as a domestic for two years.  The family had two children who were 4 months and 5 years old when she started.  While the oldest one was in a crèche the little one stayed with her and Beauty basically raised the child for two years.  Then Beauty fell pregnant herself and had to stop working because of the nausea while the family found someone else.  I called them for a testimonial.  Beauty has a home management certificate of which I have a copy of. One Stop Domestic found full time work for her for a year in 2014 until the employer moved. The employer contacted us with a stunning reference for her. So now Beauty is looking for a new challenge again.

References: Yes, three

What the reference saidBeauty is outstanding with children.  She is a kind and loving person and still phones our boy on his birthday.  He was 4 months old when she started to look after him.  She is honest and you won't go wrong with her.

Beauty worked for us for about a year. I contacted One Stop Domestic before we moved because a person like Beauty deserves a good job. She has been punctual every single day and never taken a sick day. When she started to work for us I was still pregnant and when we moved my daughter to whom she has been a second mother has been 11 months old. Beauty was her nanny plus kept the house sparkling clean and took care of the laundry. She sees what is dirty and takes instructions well, you only tell her something once. She is a loving person and always has a smile on her face. She has become part of the family and I can truly say she has been and will always be the best maid I ever had.

Beauty worked for us the entire 2016 until we moved. I work from home and am difficult to please. Beauty was a perfect fit to our house and family from day one. My two boys, 4 and 2 years old, love her like a member of our family. She starts our mornings with a friendly smile and a positive welcome and kept our household running for the rest of the day keeping the house neat and tidy while still making time to play with our two very active boys.   Please look after this lady because she is an asset to any family looking for a loving, reliable, honest, patient, hardworking, positive caretaker of your home and family. I sadly have to say that I won’t be able to find another Beauty again.

Our observation: Beauty is a very friendly and positive person.  She arrived with a smile and left with one.  She is an extrovert who likes to talk and we was happy with her cleaning experiences. She also made contact with my toddler immediately.

She would also cook family dinner every day following a recipe the employer gave her. References: Yes, two

What the reference said: Jessica is very trustworthy and we really like her.  We think she is also good with children, when we observe her how she is with visiting children.  She works fast and gives your house a thorough clean.  You won’t go wrong with her but we really would like to keep her Saturdays! We got Jessica through One stop domestic.  She worked for us until she had her baby which was almost a year.  We live very far from her home we agreed beforehand that she won't come back to work for us. She is an excellent worker and stunning girl and was very motherly to my children who were 1 and 4 years old when she started to work for us.  Unfortunately from our house to where Jessica lives is a long trip so before she went we discussed it that she won't be able to come back with a small baby. She will be a great addition to any family and anyone can all me about a reference for her.

Our observation: Jessica is very neat, presentable and fluent in both languages. She is an extrovert and good communicator who cleans at a fast pace just as described by the people she works for.  Jessica describes herself as someone who rather asks than make a mistake and that she likes to do that little bit extra so the employer can see she cares.  She says if someone walks into the house they must see the house is spotless. End of 2014 Mimi's mother became sick and she had to go back to the Eastern Cape to look after her until she was healthy again. So the family had to fill her place.  Mimi's two children live with her mother so Mimi could also be a sleep in domestic Monday to Saturday. Sundays she goes to church.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said:  Mimi  has been with us for two years.  We have a small business caring for cats and I have two big dogs myself.  Mimi likes animals and she likes children too. And she was always punctual, reliable and a thorough worker.  She is eager to assist, ready to learn and keen to go that extra mile for you. She had to leave us to take care of her sick mother and we had to fill her position, otherwise she would still be working for us.

Our observation: Mimi was shy at first, is polite and kind.  She describes herself as well organized and her favourite cleaning task is to clean windows.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, 6 year and 12 years old

Her story: Jane worked in Zimbabwe as a housekeeper and nanny for almost two years with the same family.  She then decided to join her two sisters in the Cape area to find better paid work.  I phoned the family in Zimbabwe for a testimonial. I personally know one of her sisters because she is my boy’s best play friend’s nanny.  Both her sisters who live in South Africa have been working at the same place for years.  Jane, who is a Christian describes herself as passionate about children and is looking for a long term full time job.

What the reference said: Jane was responsible for the cleaning of our house as well as looking after the children and play with them.  She is very good with children of all ages and very responsible.  Jane is 100% honest and was always on time every morning. We would have employed her longer but she decided to go work in South Africa.

Our observation: Jane played with my toddler a lot the day of the course, all out of her own.  She was neat and paid attention throughout the course about what was said.  Jane is a fast learner and knows all basic household chores well. She cleaned her rooms to our full satisfaction and I truly recommend her as a nanny.

Worked with children before, if yes what ages were they? Yes, twice newborn

Her story: In 2011 Princess started to work for a family full time. Twice she raised a baby for them from the age of 4 months until the child went to crèche at the age of 4 years.  The same family now still employs her as a cleaning lady on Mondays and just doesn't need her more since both children are in crèche. I called the mother for a testimonial.

References: Yes, one

What the reference said: Princess started to work for me full time in 2011. That time we had our first newborn and I stayed at home the first 4 months, then the baby was all alone at home with her.  Two years later my next baby was born and the first one went to creche. But again after 4 months I worked again and she was at home with the baby.  Then the second child went to crèche full time and we didn't need help for more than one day a week.  So Princess is still with us Mondays and I would love to keep her but understand if someone would want her full time. She is great with children and babies plus she is a good cleaner and I am really happy she is still our cleaning lady. My one child often cries in the mornings when Princess doesn't come but Mondays my kids are happy because they see her before they go to crècheI made her a list and she just always got everything done.

Our observation: Princess is one of the few ladies here who has truly worked with newborns before and took twice alone care of a child from the age of 4 months.  I could hear that her employer really likes her.  She still works for them Mondays and the kids still adore her.
